Welcome to Clara, a perimenopause brain and mood coach app developed and operated by Lasyaaitech Pvt Ltd("we", "our", or "us").

Clara is designed to help adults track brain fog, mood, sleep, and related perimenopause experiences — log check-ins, see patterns over time, and build evidence you can use for self-understanding and conversations with your clinician.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains:

  • What personal information we collect
  • How we use and store that information
  • Who we share it with
  • What rights you have over your data

By downloading, accessing, or using the Clara app or website, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

  • We do not collect your financial or payment card details directly (payments are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
  • We do not collect any information about other apps on your device

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

4.1 Core App Functionality

  • To build and update your personalised symptom and mood trend views
  • To deliver reminders and optional insights based on your logged patterns
  • To surface trends that may help you notice changes over time
  • To display your check-in history and journal entries in the app

4.2 Authentication and Account Management

  • To create and manage your Clara account
  • To verify your identity when you sign in
  • To maintain your session securely across devices

4.3 AI-Powered Personalisation

  • Your check-in and symptom log data may be processed by our AI system (powered by Anthropic's Claude API) to generate personalised summaries and pattern insights
  • This processing happens on our secure backend — your raw data is never sent directly to a third-party AI without passing through our servers first
  • AI-generated outputs are stored as insight and summary data in your account

4.4 Push Notifications

  • To send you check-in reminders, optional wellness prompts, and product updates at your configured times
  • Notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

4.5 Beta Program and Product Improvement

  • To collect your feedback on features and suggestions
  • To analyse anonymised usage patterns to improve the app
  • To communicate product updates, new features, and beta program information

4.6 Legal and Safety Obligations

  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • To respond to lawful requests from authorities when required
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse of the platform

5. Third-Party Services

Clara currently integrates with the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy which we encourage you to review:

5.1 Supabase

Purpose: Database storage, user authentication, and backend functions

Data shared: Your account profile, symptom and mood logs, journal entries, insight data, and notification preferences are stored on Supabase's cloud infrastructure.

5.2 Anthropic (Claude API)

Purpose: AI processing to generate personalised cognitive and mood pattern insights

Data shared: Your anonymised check-in history and symptom log data is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate summaries and insight text. We do not share your name, email, or directly identifiable information with Anthropic's API.

5.3 Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google)

Purpose: Delivering push notifications to your device

Data shared: Your device's FCM token is registered with Firebase to enable notification delivery. Firebase does not receive detailed symptom or journal content from notification payloads.

5.4 RevenueCat

Purpose: Managing subscriptions, free trials, and in-app purchase verification

Data shared: Your subscription status, purchase events, and app user ID are shared with RevenueCat to manage your subscription state. RevenueCat does not receive your detailed symptom or journal data.

5.5 Apple App Store / Google Play Store

Purpose: Processing all in-app subscription payments

Data shared: All payment transactions are processed directly by Apple or Google. Lasyaaitech Pvt Ltd does not store your payment card information.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. Ever.

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

We do not share your sensitive health or symptom tracking data or check-in history with advertisers, marketing platforms, or any commercial third parties.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement the following safeguards:

  • Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between the Clara app and our servers uses industry-standard TLS encryption
  • Encryption at rest:Your data is stored on Supabase's encrypted cloud infrastructure
  • Row-Level Security:Our database enforces strict access rules — no user can access another user's data under any circumstances
  • API key protection: All sensitive API keys (including the AI API key) are stored exclusively on our backend servers — never in the mobile app
  • Authentication security: Passwords are hashed by Supabase — we never store plain-text passwords
Important note: While we apply reasonable and industry-standard security measures, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your data to the best of our ability.

8. AI Data Usage

Clara uses artificial intelligence to help interpret patterns in your logged symptoms and mood. Here is how this works transparently:

  • Your check-in ratings (for example focus, mood, energy) and related log timestamps may be sent to our secure backend server
  • Our backend server may send this data — in a structured, anonymised format — to Anthropic's Claude API
  • The AI may return summaries, pattern descriptions, or suggested framing text
  • This output is stored as insight data in your Clara account
  • Your name, email, and directly identifiable personal information are never included in the data sent to the AI

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

  • If you delete your account, all your personal data — including symptom logs, check-in records, insight data, and profile information — is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days
  • Anonymised, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for product improvement purposes
  • Backup data may persist for a short period after deletion for system integrity purposes

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

11. Children's Privacy

Clara is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 years and above.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. Clara is a wellness tracking tool designed for adults navigating perimenopause and related cognitive or mood changes.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@claraapp.com and we will take prompt steps to delete that information.

12. International Users

Clara is operated by Lasyaaitech Pvt Ltd, a company registered in India. Your data may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country of residence (including servers operated by Supabase and other service providers listed in Section 5).

By using Clara, you consent to the transfer of your information to these servers in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

13. Medical Disclaimer

Important:

Clara is a personal tracking and pattern recognition tool. It is not:

  • A medical device
  • A clinical diagnostic tool
  • A substitute for professional medical advice
  • A replacement for your doctor's or clinician's guidance

Insights, summaries, trend language, and any AI-generated content provided by Clara are based solely on your self-reported data. They are intended for personal awareness and preparation for clinical conversations only.

Always follow your qualified healthcare professional's guidance on hormones, mental health, sleep, and any treatment plan.

If you have concerns about your health, cognition, or mood, consult your doctor or another licensed clinician.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our app evolves, particularly during the beta phase where features and integrations may change.

When we make significant changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
  • Notify you via push notification or email where appropriate
  • Post a notice within the Clara app

Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
